Dear Residents and Families:
We wanted to provide you another update on what is going on in our Community related to COVID. We thank you for your continued support of our staff as they work to keep residents safe during this surge of positive cases in Wisconsin.
We still have no residents that are showing signs or symptoms or have tested positive for COVID-19.
We have had another staff member test positive today. As with the other staff member, we have determined that when the individual was in the building, all appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) was used and good social distance was practiced when not providing care. The individual is isolating at home until it is safe for them to return to work following guidance provided by the local health department and the CDC.
Given the second staff testing positive, we are taking the following actions:
- We are moving forward to complete antigen testing on all staff and residents;
- We have stopped communal dining and residents will be served meals in their room;
- Residents will continue to be encouraged to wear masks, practice good hand hygiene and engaged in social distancing when outside of their rooms; and
- Visitation restrictions and suspension of group activities will continue.
We continue to be in close contact with the local health department and monitoring all CDC guidance to guide our efforts to prevent or mitigate the spread of the virus in our Community.
We will notify residents’ primary physicians and designated family members of any changes in their loved one’s condition, whether potentially related to COVID-19 or not.
